About the team

Real people, one workshop in Rutherglen.

L4 Signs grew out of the L4 group in Rutherglen, which built its trade on film and vinyl applied properly — tinting, paint protection and custom finishes on vehicles where a trapped speck of dust or a lifted edge is immediately visible.

That discipline is the reason the signage arm exists. Surface preparation, tension control, edge sealing and colour consistency transfer directly from automotive film to architectural glass, shopfronts, floors and fleet livery. The same team, the same premises, applied to commercial buildings.

Survey & specification

Attends site before anything is priced: pane schedules, floor build-up, vehicle models, frontage dimensions and access constraints. Every quote we issue is built off a measured survey, not a drawing take-off.

Design & artwork

Works from your brand guidelines or a supplied artwork pack, producing pane-by-pane drawings, vehicle templates and rendered visuals for sign-off before anything reaches the printer.

Print & production

Runs printing, lamination, contour cutting and weeding in-house at Atlas Business Park, so material choice, colour and finishing stay under our control rather than a trade supplier's.

Installation

Our own fitters, not subcontractors — the same hands on glass, vehicles, floors and lift cars every week. Out-of-hours and occupied-building work is routine rather than an exception.

The honest version

Why it matters that a specialist installer does the work.

A lot of signage is sold by companies that never touch it. The quote comes from a sales desk, the print is bought in, and the install goes to whoever is available that week. It's the reason so many manifestations have trapped air, so many wraps lift at the door shuts, and so many jobs need a second visit.

We don't sub out the install

Most sign shops sell the job and hand the technical work to a freelance fitter they've never met. Our print and installation teams are the same people who quoted it, so accountability doesn't move between companies halfway through.

Film is our core discipline, not a sideline

Manifestation, privacy film, architectural vinyl and vehicle livery all live or die on surface prep, temperature and technique. The L4 group has been applying film daily for years across tint, paint protection and signage — that's practice, not theory.

Specified before it's printed

Manifestation heights, anti-slip ratings, wind loading and substrate compatibility are checked at quote stage. It's cheaper to get the spec right than to reprint a floor's worth of panels.

Built for occupied buildings

Evening, overnight and weekend installs, RAMS supplied, site inductions attended, and everything cleared before staff return. Downtime is part of the quote, not a surprise afterwards.
