Elixir Lounge & Restaurant

- Sector
- Hospitality
- Location
- Glasgow
- Scope
- Blackout window film, fascia signage with raised lettering, vehicle livery
The brief
Elixir Lounge & Restaurant took over a traditional sandstone tenement shopfront with a wide run of street-level glazing. The fit-out called for a dark, premium frontage: privacy from the pavement for diners, and bold fascia branding that would hold its own on a busy Glasgow street. The branding programme then extended off the building and onto the owners' Audi R8 — a rolling advert for the venue.
What we did
- Step 1
Fitted the full run of shopfront glazing with blackout film, taking every pane to a deep, uniform black — screening the interior from street level while giving the frontage the dark, high-contrast look the brand is built around.
- Step 2
Trimmed the film cleanly to the glazing beads across multiple pane sizes, keeping edges consistent over the full width of the frontage.
- Step 3
Installed the fascia signage: large raised 'ELIXIR' lettering in white with a black drop-shadow return, mounted across the gloss black fascia, with the 'Lounge & Restaurant' script applied to the right-hand panel.
- Step 4
Set letter heights and spacing to read at distance along the street in both directions, keeping the lockup clear of the fascia joints and fixings.
- Step 5
Carried the brand onto the owners' Audi R8 with white cut vinyl door graphics: the ELIXIR wordmark at large scale across the door, with the 'Shisha Lounge & Restaurant' descriptor and the Wallace Street address set beneath — positioned to sit square on the door panel and clear of the handle recess and side intake.
- Step 6
Completed the window film, fascia, and vehicle graphics as one branding programme so the venue and the car share a single visual identity.
The result
A striking blacked-out frontage that gives the restaurant real street presence — diners have privacy at street level, and the white raised lettering against the gloss black fascia is legible from well down the road. The matching Audi R8 livery takes the brand out across Glasgow, turning every journey into promotion for the venue.
