About

A signage contractor, not a print shop.

L4 Signs works from Unit 136, Atlas Business Park in Rutherglen, delivering commercial signage, graphics and vinyl branding across Glasgow and most of Scotland.

Background

We started where the L4 group started: film and vinyl, applied properly. That discipline — surface preparation, tension control, clean edges — transfers directly from automotive film to architectural glass, interior surfaces and fleet livery.

Today L4 Signs is a dedicated commercial arm. We deal with facilities managers, architects, shopfitters and business owners rather than walk-in retail, which means drawings, schedules, site access and programme dates are part of the conversation from day one.

Print, cutting and finishing are handled in-house, and installation is carried out by our own fitters — so responsibility for the finished job sits in one place.

The L4 group

Four specialisms, one operation in Rutherglen.

L4 Tints

Window tinting and film across vehicles and buildings.

L4 Autos

Vehicle sales, preparation and aftercare.

L4 Customs

Custom finishes, wraps and detailing work.

L4 Signs

Commercial signage, graphics and vinyl branding.

The group's specialist film experience underpins our architectural and solar film work — the same standards of material handling and finish, applied to buildings.

About the team

Real people, one workshop in Rutherglen.

L4 Signs grew out of the L4 group in Rutherglen, which built its trade on film and vinyl applied properly — tinting, paint protection and custom finishes on vehicles where a trapped speck of dust or a lifted edge is immediately visible.

That discipline is the reason the signage arm exists. Surface preparation, tension control, edge sealing and colour consistency transfer directly from automotive film to architectural glass, shopfronts, floors and fleet livery. The same team, the same premises, applied to commercial buildings.

Survey & specification

Attends site before anything is priced: pane schedules, floor build-up, vehicle models, frontage dimensions and access constraints. Every quote we issue is built off a measured survey, not a drawing take-off.

Design & artwork

Works from your brand guidelines or a supplied artwork pack, producing pane-by-pane drawings, vehicle templates and rendered visuals for sign-off before anything reaches the printer.

Print & production

Runs printing, lamination, contour cutting and weeding in-house at Atlas Business Park, so material choice, colour and finishing stay under our control rather than a trade supplier's.

Installation

Our own fitters, not subcontractors — the same hands on glass, vehicles, floors and lift cars every week. Out-of-hours and occupied-building work is routine rather than an exception.

Specialist vs generic

Why choose a specialist installer.

Installation is the job

Most signage failures are fitting failures — trapped air, lifting edges, misaligned datum lines. Our fitters do this daily on glass, vehicles, floors and lift cars, and that is what you are actually buying.

Specification before print

We check manifestation heights against Approved Document M, slip ratings for floor graphics, wind loading for banners and film compatibility with sealed units — before anything goes to print.

Materials that last outdoors

Cast films and matched laminates for vehicles and frontages, not the economy calendared vinyl that curls after a Scottish winter.

We work to your programme

Facilities managers, architects and shopfitters get a contractor who reads drawings, supplies RAMS, attends site inductions and fits out of hours.
